The list of ingredients in Daniel’s recipe can seem daunting, so remember that you can always adjust the recipe to work both within your budget and with what you have on hand.  You can add items and upgrade the ingredients over time.  The main ingredients are available on Daniel Vitalis’ website www.Surthrival.com.  He produces top quality products with only the finest ingredients.

Getting Started with What’s On Hand

Here are some alternatives that you might have around your house.  They will not work exactly the same, but may stand in to get you started.

  • Chaga Mushroom – I would suggest not replacing the Chaga Mushrooms as it has extraordinary health building properties that cannot be substituted.  If you need to splurge on one item this would be the one; but even with that said, your favorite herbal tea may stand-in for your first time.
  • Evening Primrose – You can use sprouted Flaxseed or Chia instead of the Evening Primrose.
  • Cattail and Pine Pollen – If you don’t have either Cattail or Pine Pollen and want to start with one, get the Pine Pollen.  Alternatively you can try other bodybuilding / testosterone enhancing herbs.  Some milder versions you might already have at home are Chamomile, Fenugreek or Stinging Nettle which you can brew and add to the Chaga.
  • The idea of the Pollen and Primrose is to balance Yin & Yang or female and male hormonal support.
  • Colostrum – Instead of Colostrum try a protein powder like Whey, Spouted Rice or Hemp.  None will give the exact benefits, so this is another ingredient that should be high on your priority list.
  • Stevia – Raw Honey is my favorite alternative to Stevia.  If glycemic index is important, then try Lucuma.

Play with it!  Good luck experimenting with this for yourself.  Enjoy!
