This is day 1, part 1 of a lecture by Dr. Jim Said, ND, DC, RPP introducing the Polarity Therapy step-down of energy. This talk kicked off a 5-day training entitled Chaos: Entering the Dance, presented at NM Academy of Healing Arts, Jan. 25-29, 1995.
In this video Dr. Said explores the idea of universal life-energy stepping down into form through the polarity relationships developed by Dr. Randolph Stone, DO, ND, DC (1890-1981). Dr. Said was a student of Polarity’s founder Dr. Stone as well as his successor Dr. Pierre Pannetier. He was instrumental in the formation of the American Polarity Therapy Association (APTA), and in establishing its Standards for Practice and Education.

Video Lecture – Part 1
Dr. Jim Said was one of the most extraordinary and brilliant teachers I have ever had the pleasure of studying with. His understanding of Polarity Therapy is unparalleled. He would often tell the story of how he took all of Dr. Stone’s books on Polarity Therapy, copied and cut the pages apart, and then reconstructed them into a logical linear model of polarity that showed how all the pieces interconnected. His model has been used by all subsequent generations of Polarity teachers and students and was the foundation for the APTA Standards for Practice.
At the beginning of this video Dr. Said says “… [Dr. Stone] never stopped researching. He never stopped developing the model. And he never stopped looking deeply inside himself, at the most subtle levels. And that’s what he brought out as an essence when he taught … Polarity is a relationship between you and another person. There’s a dynamism in that relationship. That relationship means a lot and expresses a lot. There’s an exchange that happens in any dynamic relationship.” (see Teaching Tools Excerpts 1)
In this presentation it is clear that Dr. Said continued Dr. Stones process of continually exploring and expanding the model as he folds into the polarity paradigm aspects of other systems; information and insights from his far-reaching studies. This lecture is at once rooted in cutting-edge science while expressing profound esoteric teachings.
