Salt & Water for Health

The Importance of Salt & Water for Health

This is THE video I recommend every client watch!  Dr. Barbara O’Neill covers so much ground in this talk, explaining the critical importance to health of these two fundamental elements—water and salt.  She is masterful at making very complicated information easy to understand.

In this video lecture Dr. O’Neill covers the difference between commercial Table Salt and Sea Salt for health; how cells functions and the causes of High Blood Pressure; the vital importance of both Salt and Water for proper digestion; Natural Blood Thinners; Hydrotherapy; and much more.

Here are the two rules of thumb for water and salt in a nutshell:

  1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate – what I tell clients in the US is to minimally drink your body weight in ounces: 150 lb = 150 oz or 15x 10-oz glasses or 1.2 gallons / 4.7 qts
  2. Table Salt – Bad / Sea Salt – Good – Sea Salt is critical for healthy blood pressure, cellular nutrition and mineralization, and proper  digestion. Take a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt on the tongue before drinking water at least 2x daily to hydrate the cells.  Drink only between meals and minimally if at all with meals.
